I work with individuals, couples, and families who feel "stuck", not heard, or unhappy in their present moment. I believe that clients are the experts on their experiences and believe strongly in a strength-based approach to psychotherapy. My goal is to help guide clients in understanding the "why?" "how?" and "what is next?". I have over 10 years of experience within the mental health field. I utilize training in family systems, substance abuse, and co-occurring diagnoses to approach clients’ needs in a holistic manner.
My areas of expertise include psychotherapy for anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, depression, anger management, bipolar disorder, parenting skills, trauma, substance abuse, addiction, families with a history of addiction, and autism spectrum disorders. Furthermore, I employ a range of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, attachment-based therapy (specifically when dealing with younger children and providing psychoeducation for parents), motivational interviewing, family therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy.
